It's gut wrenching to read this. A mother of three kids, Angela Buyas, was run over and killed by a 21-year old driver late Tuesday night on SE Stark in Portland. She was walking. On the sidewalk.
According to news reports, the driver, lost control of his vehicle due to speed and intoxication. That's fairly sanitized. So a speeding drunken driver decimated a family. It's another tragic driving under the influence story. This one is even more poignant because the children earlier lost their father, and are now orphaned.
The takeaway from this horror is that alcohol + driving = disaster.

YOU NEED TO KNOW THE WHOLE STORY, MOTHER AND FATER WERE DIVORCED FOR YEARS AND FATHER WAS AN ADDICT WHO LIVED ON THE STREETS, TRAGIC YES BUT BY HIS OWN ACCORD, MOTHER WAS BETTER BUT WHY WAS SHE OUT AT 11:30 WHILE KIDS WERE IN BED AT HOME ALONE? THESE COMMENT ARE BASED ON KNOWING FAMILY PERSONALLY, NONE THE LESS THIS IS A VERY TRAGIC THING AND NOBODY DESERVES WHAT HAPPENED TO HER OR WHAT THE KIDS ARE GOING THRU, ALSO NOT ONLY A MOTHER OF 3 BUT 2 GROWN CHILDREN AND A GRAND MOTHER OF 1 ABOUT 2 YEARS OLD

To know this family, you would be a part of them! The father was an ex-addict who was diagnosed with a disease too late! Mother had no car, no income, and no way of getting her children FOOD! THAT is why Angela was walking down the sidewalk. WINCO is open 24 hours. Daycare was available at home in the later hours. DO NOT question ANGIE...question why 122nd speeders, why a drunk driver killed her! Angie dispised drinking and driving. She always made sure the kids had what they needed despite all else. Now what?! Negativity for children who were taught negativity only by the system and others doing wrong. Grandmother of 2 by the way. This I know, I use to be the caregiver for the kids!

I'VE KNOWN THEM PERSONALLY THERE WAS A BABYSITTER AND SHE DID TAKE CARE OF HER KIDS...SHE WAS VERY INVOLVED AND MADE SURE THEY WERE FED AND IN BED BY 8:30. I LOVE ANGIE AND MISS HER DEARLY. AND IF THE FAMILY YOU WERE APART OF IT!! SHE LOVED ALL HER FRIENDS KIDS LIKE HER OWN. SHE WAS A GREAT MOM AND NO ONE SHOULD QUESTION THAT. RIP WE LOVE YOU ANGIE
To those who think they knew Angie the real Angie that is she was a devoted mother a sincerley dear friend everbody wants to be a part of her life now that shes dead its not about addicts and irresponsibility its about having heart and giving back and understanding. Angie if you were applicable to be called her friend would do anything for you she was extremely loyal and wasnt affraid of anything or anyone, so , dont hate and you know who you are the real people behind Angie are and always will be through life and death are Brent Dougan and Christopher Michaels you can take this to the bank!!
